Merkur: Eurasian Resources Group establishes ESG Committee
Merkur Corporate News reports that ERG has formed an ESG Committee and that it reflects ERG’s ongoing efforts to show support for the UN Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs). Chairman of the Board of Directors of ERG, Alexander Machkevich, is quoted as saying, “In principle, ESG issues have been central to the Group's activities for many years, and we are proud of the results achieved in the area of corporate responsibility. ESG is also our philosophy behind the Group's mission. At the same time, the established committee will not only assist our projects and initiatives in the field of ecology, social development and corporate governance, but will also allow us to systematically and prioritize investments in the development of new environmental technologies and the implementation of innovative projects in the regions where we operate."
