Copper and copper-based alloys are used in a variety of applications that are necessary for a reasonable standard of living.

In its refined form it is a malleable and ductile metal that is an excellent conductor of heat and electricity (second only to precious metals) as well as being corrosion resistant and antimicrobial.

The Group’s mining and processing operations in the DRC

The Group’s main mining, processing and development operations in the DRC are Boss Mining, Frontier and COMIDE. These are in addition to Metalkol, ERG’s flagship processing operation near Kolwezi, DRC, that produces copper cathode with purity above 99.9935%.
